Y Ruler of Time (2:37:20 PM): "Triple discard!" Perfect Machine King, United We Stand, and Fissure fall into his graveyard.
Y Ruler of Time (2:38:04 PM): "Deus Ex Machina, attack!" The arm cannon raises, and a burst of green energy fires at Isabel. "Plasma Stream LV5!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:38:25 PM): "Don't be so rash!" Isabel grins. "Mirror Force!"
Y Ruler of Time (2:38:48 PM): "And don't you think we're the same!" Alex points at his remaining set card, "Royal Decree!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:39:17 PM): "What?!" The barrier shatters, and the burst of energy hits Isabel dead on.

Y Ruler of Time (2:39:47 PM): "Card Gunner, knock her down to half her starting points!" The smaller red machine lets loose a burst of gunfire.

Y Ruler of Time (2:41:05 PM): "Regardless of how you put it, you'll fall to my next assault unless something changes. I end my turn, and Card Gunner drops to its original level."

Y Ruler of Time (11:04:45 PM): Alex braced his legs as the Card Gunner was soundly crushed by the larger machine. "Gngh-!" (4700)
Y Ruler of Time (11:05:03 PM): "Card Gunner's effect lets me draw one card!" He snaps the card off of his deck.
Viewtiful Rekk (11:05:03 PM): "Grand Mole, attack Deux Ex Machina! Drill Mole!"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:05:22 PM): Grand Mole digs into the ground, and across the arena, before shooting up and into the machine's gut.
Y Ruler of Time (11:05:52 PM): Alex frowns, and picks the card up off of his Duel Disk.

Y Ruler of Time (11:07:58 PM): "..." Alex looks at the card he drew from his Card Gunner, and sighs. "...You're not ready yet."

Y Ruler of Time (11:09:33 PM): "I know you're tough, Marias. I know about what you've accomplished. I know your potential. I know you're confident, determined..."

Y Ruler of Time (11:13:10 PM): The clunky yellow machine appears, and glows with a green aura. "Green Gadget is added from my deck to my hand."
Y Ruler of Time (11:13:46 PM): "From my hand, I discard Demonic Motor - Omega. Activate Lightning Vortex!"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:14:23 PM): "Wh-what?!"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:15:01 PM): Lightning razes Isabel's field, destroying Perfect Machine King.
Y Ruler of Time (11:16:42 PM): "You used the same card...now I revive Omega with Monster Reborn!"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:16:52 PM): "..."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:17:03 PM): Isabel stares at the two monsters, then at her hand.
Viewtiful Rekk (11:17:05 PM): "...dammit..."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:17:27 PM): She brings up her hand and places it on top of her deck.
Y Ruler of Time (11:18:11 PM): "..." Alex looks up at his monster before it fades away. '...Ohm...Thanks for coming back to me.'
Viewtiful Rekk (11:18:42 PM): Isabel slumps down and takes a seat right on the arena floor.
Y Ruler of Time (11:19:51 PM): He turns his attention back to Isabel. "You'd better not go all doom and gloom on me, I'm not going to be held responsible for one of your fits of depression."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:20:29 PM): "It's not a fit of depression, you insensitive asshole!"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:20:42 PM): "It's just..." She clenches a fist.
Viewtiful Rekk (11:21:03 PM): "It feels like...I've peaked as a duelist."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:22:16 PM): "I haven't won a single duel under my own steam all semester...no matter what I do to my deck, it's never good enough."
Y Ruler of Time (11:23:03 PM): "..." Alex walks slowly up to her, opening up his laptop on his Duel Disk.
Y Ruler of Time (11:25:32 PM): "...Huh. Zandel, Farkas, Munos...Yeah, you've been through your share of losses."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:26:30 PM): "Yeah...and Zandel took me down with my own goddamn deck."
Y Ruler of Time (11:26:48 PM): "That sounds like something he'd do."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:27:09 PM): "And now he's back, and I keep flashing back to that stupid duel, and it has me so messed up and DAMMIT I hate it all so much!" She slams a fist on the ground.
Y Ruler of Time (11:28:17 PM): "...It hurt, didn't it? And...you must've felt...angry, frightened...sometimes helpless."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:29:16 PM): "..." She nods.
Y Ruler of Time (11:31:57 PM): "When something meaningful is taken from you, how else are you supposed to act? It's going to turn into a fight of one kind or another...you can only hope you're strong enough to win."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:34:27 PM): "Easy for you to say, you're the strongest duelist here besides the Kaiser!"
Y Ruler of Time (11:34:49 PM): "Wasn't strong enough."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:35:16 PM): "...huh?"
Y Ruler of Time (11:36:24 PM): He closes up his laptop, and his hand lingers on the device. "...I poured my heart and soul into this hunk of metal, and made it my own...Having it taken didn't really hurt, but...it was like I'd lost part of myself."
Y Ruler of Time (11:37:28 PM): "He took it, and made me duel him...And who cares if I won? What if he hadn't followed through...what if he'd just run off while I was unconscious? ...What if he'd taken more?"
Y Ruler of Time (11:38:01 PM): "That was how Desdemona got to me...She made me admit what I'd been in denial about. My greatest skill...so very often, it's not enough."
Y Ruler of Time (11:40:16 PM): "So...I'm just trying to get stronger in other ways now. So I can protect what I hold dear...Regardless of whether her colorful Seal makes her stronger than me or not..."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:40:27 PM): Isabel sighs. "I heard Adonis give this speech to Tsukayama, y'know."
Y Ruler of Time (11:40:58 PM): "We all did, yeah."
Y Ruler of Time (11:41:37 PM): "And then what happened? He turned into the Incredible Greek."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:42:00 PM): Isabel scoffs. "So, what, you gonna turn into Tony Stark?
Y Ruler of Time (11:42:51 PM): "If that's what it takes. Everyone around here's been discovering some ability of theirs, it seems, except for Batolli, and for me."
Y Ruler of Time (11:43:08 PM): "And Kudasai, but, y'know, nobody cares about him."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:43:23 PM): Isabel scoffs.
Viewtiful Rekk (11:43:33 PM): "Please. My-chan doesn't need magic to defend herself."
Y Ruler of Time (11:43:44 PM): "Yeah, she can just whip up a raygun."

Rakath Chaos (12:04:34 AM): "I've got better magic than you, and its served me pretty nicely," Amy put her book away, standing and walking over to Alex.
Rakath Chaos (12:04:41 AM): "But without someone to give us a good plan we're screwed. Also nobody else is as good with information gathering. Quit sellin' yourself short."

Y Ruler of Time (12:31:28 AM): "Oh, I'm sure somebody else knows about it. Probably this guy...See, I looked up information on the academy's first Kaiser, who used a Cyber Dragon deck."
Y Ruler of Time (12:31:59 AM): "Upon his graduation, he held a ceremonial duel with a student who used Elemental Heroes, and they dueled to a draw."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:32:00 AM): "Uh huh. Marufuji Ryo."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:32:08 AM): "Aaand, Yuki Juudai."

Y Ruler of Time (12:33:26 AM): "Well, I got curious, so I started looking up stuff on the Yuki guy. He'd always been known for his deck to constantly evolve in crucial duels, but in his second year at the academy, it's practically like he changed decks."
Y Ruler of Time (12:35:15 AM): "While he always said that his favorite monster was Flame Wingman, in his second year, the card that always helped him at critical junctures...was Elemental Hero Neos."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:36:01 AM): "...so he had the Neos deck too..."
Y Ruler of Time (12:36:14 AM): "No, his was different. Look...Let me see if I can...Yeah..."
Y Ruler of Time (12:36:40 AM): He manages to pull up a picture of Judai ordering forward Grand Mole. "See? His cards are actually different."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:37:00 AM): "...." She blinks.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:37:05 AM): "It's just 'Grand Mole'."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:37:20 AM): Isabel holds up her own. The differences are negligible at a glance, but still there.
Rakath Chaos (12:38:34 AM): Amy looks between the two, and thinks His is cuter.
Y Ruler of Time (12:39:07 AM): "The mechanics of your deck appear to mostly match up with his...Neos would combine with these 'Neo-Spacians' in what Yuki called 'Contact Fusion'."
Y Ruler of Time (12:39:26 AM): Cue picture of Grand Neos.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:39:55 AM): "...This is weird as hell..."
Y Ruler of Time (12:47:44 AM): "Well, for another thing...A couple of people that dueled Yuki noted that the way he interacted with Neos' image was...weird. Sometimes, it would actually...talk back to him."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:50:08 AM): "...so it was Neos's Duel Spirit..."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:50:53 AM): "But..." Isabel rubs her head. "The Neos in Desdemona's deck...if this was only 8 years ago, I don't see how it could've been helping him while she was sealed inside of me."
Y Ruler of Time (12:53:12 AM): "I don't know...there's obviously a lot about this situation you're not gonna find out from me. A lot of people don't even know about Duel Spirits."
