Viewtiful Rekk (1:58:42 AM): Amado lets out a low yawn as he walks through the forest, checking his watch: 6:33 AM.
Hinoryu8 (1:59:22 AM): As Amado walk, a familiar sound may come to his ears. Specifically, the sound of someone beating the living shit out of a bunch of logs with a katana.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:59:36 AM): "Geez...with this tournament going on, I gotta shuffle my training time all...over the...place...?"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:59:48 AM): He blinks.
Hinoryu8 (2:00:54 AM): Ahead, there's a clearing. Someone has set up a bunch of logs in a clearing, and assembled them in vaguely humanoid shapes.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:00:57 AM): "...hey, you hear that?" He asks. The dragon behind him nods. "I did..."
Hinoryu8 (2:01:17 AM): Said someone is also right there, a student Amado has likely never seen before. Said someone is also going to town on them.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:01:32 AM): Amado walks towards the noise, and eventually happens upon the clearing. He blinks. ...those dummies are way better set-up than mine...
Viewtiful Rekk (2:02:15 AM): "...Lord Amado..." The dragon growls in hushed tones. "He's one of them. The Monarchs."
Hinoryu8 (2:02:22 AM): Unfortunately, Amado forgot rule one of the world: Don't sneak up on a guy with a sword. As soon as he steps foot in the clearing, the guy spins around and points his sword at Amado.
Hinoryu8 (2:02:27 AM): "Who are you?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:02:33 AM): "He is?!" Amado whispers. "GAH!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:02:45 AM): "...well, uh...who are you?"
Hinoryu8 (2:03:57 AM): There's a pause. "Your dragon already told you, so I have no need for the 'Yoshinobu Kouji' facade."
Hinoryu8 (2:05:56 AM): "I would request you not inform anyone else of who I am, though."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:06:24 AM): "Heh..." Amado grins. "We're not exactly on the same side, so why should I listen?"
Hinoryu8 (2:06:46 AM): "Because I'm the one with a sword pointed at your throat."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:07:56 AM): Amado just keeps grinning as his hand twitches a bit.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:09:15 AM): He then grips his bokuto and flings it at 'Kouji' like a discus, leaping back as he does.
Rakath Chaos (2:09:37 AM): Dawn was making through the forest like a monkey. She lacked her knife so she couldn't do her katas, however swinging and leaping through the forest was totally doable.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:09:49 AM): He then pulls out his PDA and brings up two numbers. "In the forest, found a monarch, he's got a sword, he's probably dangerous!"
Hinoryu8 (2:09:53 AM): "My identity being known could be problematic." He swats the bokuto away with his katana, and resumes pointing it at Amado. "More problematic than concealing a beheaded student, for example."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:10:13 AM): He then fires off the message to Lily and Fuji, before tossing his PDA aside and pulling his Cleaver Disk free.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:10:20 AM): "Beheaded student? Don't underestimate me!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:10:41 AM): "I'm Amado Tsukayama, future Kaiser of this school!
Viewtiful Rekk (2:10:47 AM): "I wouldn't be killed by the likes of you!"
Y Ruler of Time (2:11:38 AM): Fuji was, unfortunately, out running...on practically the other side of the island. "Gah! I'LL BE RIGHT THERE, AMADO-KUN!"
Y Ruler of Time (2:12:03 AM): He might be awhile. Several miles is a long distance even for Fuji-sensei to run."
Hinoryu8 (2:12:09 AM): "I have no real caring for the one who summoned us, and no real desire to carry out his will. You're welcome to turn and leave, I will not stop you. You're still young for a human, right?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:12:22 AM): "I guess so, yeah."
Rakath Chaos (2:12:30 AM): Hearing lines like "Beheaded student" and "Kaizer of the school" caught the small child's attention, so moved to watch the activities.
Sinisquirrel (2:12:40 AM): Meanwhile. "Mmmh...?" Lily grabs her PDA and looks at the message. Then at the time. "Does he not sleep?"
Sinisquirrel (2:13:00 AM): It'll take her a while. Oh, yeah.
Hinoryu8 (2:13:12 AM): "If you do not reveal my identity, and interfere with what work I must do, then you may live to become Kaiser yet." 'Kouji' is talking completely emotionlessly.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:14:00 AM): "...heh...but it wouldn't be very Kaiserlike of me to just turn tail and run, now would it..."
Hinoryu8 (2:14:49 AM): "Fighting a battle that will get you killed is more like a 'Kaiser'?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:15:00 AM): "Who said I'm gonna get killed?!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:15:23 AM): Amado runs forward, cleaver low to the ground and swings it at 'Kouji'.
Hinoryu8 (2:16:06 AM): "You are a human." Kouji blocks the cleave with his katana, placing his hand against the blunt side of the katana to brace it. "You should know the difference in power."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:16:22 AM): "Screw that!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:16:33 AM): "You have a katana, so that means that you're a samurai like me!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:17:09 AM): "Two samurai don't care about something like species! All that matters is that we bet our lives on our swords!"
Hinoryu8 (2:17:23 AM): "..." Kouji gives Amado a look of contempt.
Rakath Chaos (2:18:00 AM): Dawn, little monkey child she is, is now a few branches up a tree watching those two.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:23:04 AM): "Heh...what's with that look!?" He asks as he pushes against the katana.
Hinoryu8 (2:24:13 AM): Kouji pushes back, harder, sending Amado backwards, then simply points at Amado. ... But, nothing seems to happen.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:24:46 AM): "...nobody ever tell ya it's rude to point?"
Hinoryu8 (2:25:57 AM): "It is done." With that, he raises his katana back to a one-handed ready stance. "Come, if you can."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:26:27 AM): "Fine then!" Amado grips his cleaver with both hands...and grunts as it drops to the ground.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:26:43 AM): "Nngh....what's going on!?" He says, his legs starting to buckle.
Hinoryu8 (2:27:20 AM): "Gravity falls under the magical classification of 'Darkness'." 'Kouji' explains simply.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:27:52 AM): "Heh...heh...so you jacked up the 'gravity'?! Fine! Then I've got a trick too!"
Hinoryu8 (2:28:49 AM): "A trick?" He just looks at Amado. "I thought you were an 'honorable swordsman' or something like that."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:29:14 AM): "Adam! Let's go!" "Yes!" The dragon pulls back a fist and shoves it through Amado's body, before disappearing. Amado slumps over...
Viewtiful Rekk (2:29:36 AM): And then leaps forward, bringing the cleaver at 'Kouji' with far more power. "We're not the ones screwing around with gravity!"
Rakath Chaos (2:29:50 AM): Dawn instinctively reaches for her knife... which isn't there, "Stupid father." As she looks for a weapon to use.
Hinoryu8 (2:30:44 AM): "I never claimed to be a swordsman." Kouji jumps out of the way of the cleaver, rather than blocking it this time. "And, I am only using my own powers, not relying on the assistance of others more powerful than I."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:32:04 AM): "Hrmph! Your words mean nothing!" Several spikes appear on Amado's back and launch out at Kouji. The ones that miss crash into trees and explode. That should be a good hint to any teachers and/or goths in the vicinity.
kwikkidus (2:32:15 AM): "Eh..? What's a little girl doing in my tree?" comes a quiet voice from a bit higher up in the branches. "More to the point, why's Amado fighting with that other guy..?"
Hinoryu8 (2:33:01 AM): Kouji pauses. Knowing his human form can't take a hit from one of those, he just swings his sword, releasing a dark wave at the spikes that are coming at him, killing all their forward momentum.
Rakath Chaos (2:35:46 AM): "Your tree? Not right now it isn't."
kwikkidus (2:36:59 AM): "That's funny, I'm certainly sitting in it..." He keeps right on staring at the battle. "So, what's a little girl doing in the tree. They can't be having a loli-esque beauty pageant...."
Rakath Chaos (2:37:46 AM): "I was sent to live with my father, and I generally practice in forests, so I'm out here training."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:38:11 AM): Amado shoots forward after the spikes, swinging the cleaver upwards at Kouji again.
kwikkidus (2:38:20 AM): "And I just like the view from the top of the tree. Your point?"
Rakath Chaos (2:39:47 AM): "I was answering your question, I have no interest in why you are out here."
Hinoryu8 (2:40:35 AM): Kouji, being unable to dodge in midair, spun, flipped, and made sure the katana would hit the cleaver first. He then used that to spring off the cleaver, putting distance in between Amado and himself.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:42:39 AM): "You won't get away!" Amado fires more of the spikes out at Kouji as he leaps away.
Y Ruler of Time (2:43:24 AM): A big, muscular figure stands in Kouji's path. "Now hold it right there...who...ever you are!"
Hinoryu8 (2:44:17 AM): Now, what most people don't know about Gaius, is that despite his scary appearance, he's really a tactician at heart, and fights using his intelligence more than his muscles.
Hinoryu8 (2:44:35 AM): So he simply dives out of the way of the spikes and lets them fly at that big, muscular figure instead.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:44:54 AM): "Agh...!"
Y Ruler of Time (2:45:12 AM): "Ah, whoopsy. Fuji spins his quarterstaff in a rapid circle, deflecting the spikes. Almost had an accident there!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:45:23 AM): "...apologies, professor."
Y Ruler of Time (2:45:39 AM): "No problems, Amado-kun!"
Hinoryu8 (2:46:12 AM): Kouji has taken this time to take a ready stance again, this time adopting a two-handed stance.
Rakath Chaos (2:46:39 AM): Dawn leaps down from the tree onto the teacher's back, "Hey Fuji-san, Got any weapons that I could use ta help?" She figures its a no, but she's hopeful.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:47:05 AM): "Both of you, stay out of this! Lord Amado and I have it handled!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:47:17 AM): "Yeah, butt out!"
Y Ruler of Time (2:47:21 AM): "Sorry, Dawn-chan," he apparently thinks it not strange at all that she's suddenly appeared. "I only carry two weapons..."
Y Ruler of Time (2:47:33 AM): "My staff, and-" he FLEXES "My body!:
Viewtiful Rekk (2:47:34 AM): Spoken in the same voice, but with vastly varying tone and inflection.
Rakath Chaos (2:47:56 AM): "Aww... oh well."
Hinoryu8 (2:48:01 AM): "..."
Hinoryu8 (2:48:22 AM): While they're distracted with Fuji's posing, Kouji fires another gravity spell at Fuji and Dawn.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:48:57 AM): In that one second while Kouji's preparing the spell, Amado instantly closes the distance between them as the sound of two beating wings sounds out.
Rakath Chaos (2:48:57 AM): Dawn leaps away from Fuji to a nearby non-occupied tree.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:49:06 AM): "Giga..."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:49:20 AM): "ARMED BASHER!" He swings the cleaver forward with titantic force.
Y Ruler of Time (2:50:20 AM): "Hm..." Fuji looks down at himself, feeling the effect of the added gravity taking effect, and simply shrugs.
Hinoryu8 (2:51:16 AM): Kouji doesn't have time to block, or prepare a different spell. All he can do before it hits is change the target, directing the full force of the gravity spell at the cleaver.
Hinoryu8 (2:51:24 AM): Unfortunately, all that does is add weight to the attack.
Hinoryu8 (2:52:01 AM): Kouji is sent flying out of the clearing, smashing through a few of the log dummies that were in his path.
Rakath Chaos (2:52:29 AM): Dawn spots the Bokuto and snatches it up before leaping up into another tree and bounding after Kouji.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:52:46 AM): "Hmph." "Ha! Kicked his ass good!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:52:55 AM): "High five!" Amado high-fives himself.
kwikkidus (2:53:15 AM): "Huh..." Eon tilts his head slightly to the side. "Well, doesn't matter. Ten more minues and back to th'old dueling grind."
Y Ruler of Time (2:53:27 AM): "Amado-kun! Move!" Fuji is already dashing after. "We have to make sure he does not escape!"
Hinoryu8 (2:58:20 AM): Well, regardless, the entire forest just seems to have gotten a hell of a lot darker.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:59:57 AM): "...what is this...?"
Hinoryu8 (3:01:19 AM): "What do you think?"
Hinoryu8 (3:01:43 AM): Kouji steps out of the clearing, a bloody mess. His torso, where the cleaver hit, looks almost completely caved in.
Rakath Chaos (3:02:12 AM): Dawn pauses, taking a defensive stance on a tree branch. Listening carefully.
Y Ruler of Time (3:02:59 AM): "That human form looks ready to collapse. Perhaps you should consider surrendering."
Hinoryu8 (3:03:23 AM): "It already did collapse. I do not believe its heart is still beating."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:03:52 AM): "...how the...?"
Hinoryu8 (3:04:08 AM): "I am very fortunate that it is only a mask, really." With that, Kouji simply starts to melt away. As does his surroundings. Where they are soon replaced by Gaius, in all his imposing armored glory.
Rakath Chaos (3:05:05 AM): Dawn looks over at Fuji, "This student of yours didn't realize his opponent was a Spirit yet?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:05:39 AM): "...So Gaius. You show your true form." "That's what he really looks like?!"
Hinoryu8 (3:06:16 AM): Gaius simply extends his hand. And WHAM, the gravity kicks up again, much stronger than before.
Y Ruler of Time (3:06:39 AM): "Ha! You're strong. As expected of a Monarch!" Fuji is grinning like a mad man.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:08:20 AM): "NGH!" Amado's legs buckle once more. "It's....far stronger now..." But he still manages to hold up his cleaver.
Hinoryu8 (3:08:38 AM): "I would have preferred to remain in my human guise until such a time as the one who summoned me released me." Gaius says, voice much more inhuman now.
Hinoryu8 (3:08:47 AM): "Instead, you assaulted me and forced my hand."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:09:01 AM): "It was of no ill will towards you."
Y Ruler of Time (3:09:05 AM): "Alright there, Amado?" Fuji looks down at the student, not looking as severely affected.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:09:21 AM): "You work for the person we are fighting against. Thus, we had no choice."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:09:59 AM): "Ngh..." Energy crackles around Amado's back, before two bladed wings shoot out, he flaps them twice, and rights himself. "We are fine."
Rakath Chaos (3:10:31 AM): Dawn is forced down a little, she puts her hand on her belt buckle and stands again, "That's a really annoyin' trick."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:10:33 AM): He brings up the cleaver. "Now. Let's continue, Monarch."
Hinoryu8 (3:10:48 AM): "You routinely waste your time on lackies, rather than going after the opposing general?" Gaius asks.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:11:34 AM): "In this case, the general has locked himself away and won't come out until his army is gone."
Y Ruler of Time (3:11:51 AM): "A bit like a video game!"
Hinoryu8 (3:12:31 AM): "You have allowed yourself to be forced into his rules." Gaius raises a hand, and a large ball of darkness appears in it. "Though, now that it has come this far, I will end it."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:13:17 AM): "We'll see about that!" The cleaver glows as white spikes form on it. Amado plants both feet on the ground and flings it at Gaius like a disk.
Hinoryu8 (3:18:09 AM): Gaius tosses the dark ball at the cleaver. The two hit each other, and the Cleaver simply explodes, and flies off, badly damaged.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:18:32 AM): "...damn."
Hinoryu8 (3:19:18 AM): Without his katana anymore, Gaius simply resorts to a slightly more primitive method of attack: Punching Amado with his armored fist.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:20:11 AM): "Gngh!" Amado shoots back from the punch. "It will take more than that...!" He shouts, firing another volley of spikes.
Hinoryu8 (3:20:44 AM): Spikes, meet armor. Armor, spikes. Are we all well acquainted?
Hinoryu8 (3:22:53 AM): Gaius picks up one of the spikes that bounced off his armor. He then grabs Amado by the shoulder, and thrusts the spike into Amado's torso.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:23:45 AM): "Ngh!" Amado grabs at the arm that grabbed his shoulder...but stops once the spike is plunged into his chest.
Rakath Chaos (3:24:44 AM): Dawn turns to Fuji, "We're remaining out of this under that warriors code thing, correct?"
Hinoryu8 (3:24:51 AM): Gaius lets go, leaving the spike through Amado.
Y Ruler of Time (3:24:59 AM): Fuji is no longer standing next to Dawn.
Hinoryu8 (3:25:06 AM): "For your foolish dream of 'Kaiser', you should have given up."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:25:09 AM): "...nghk..." The wings on his back fade, and as he drops to the ground, Armed Dragon LV5 appears again.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:25:19 AM): "Lord Amado!" The dragon calls out as he hits the ground.
Y Ruler of Time (3:25:20 AM): "Western War Style - CRUSHING MACE PUUUUUUUNNNNNNCHHHHHH!!!!!"
Hinoryu8 (3:26:20 AM): Gaius catches the punch and uses Fuji's own momentum to throw him into a tree.
Y Ruler of Time (3:27:34 AM): "Hoo-ha!
Y Ruler of Time (3:27:52 AM): " Fuji plants his foot against the tree and jumps back and upward, above Gaius.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:27:59 AM): "ngh..." Amado slowly takes in a few rasping breathes as the dragon continues to call out his name. He lets out a cough and wind starts blowing fiercely through the darkness-drenched forest.
Y Ruler of Time (3:28:54 AM): "Southern Moon Sty- eh?" Fuji is distracted from readying his staff by the sudden gust of wind.
kwikkidus (3:29:01 AM): "I uh... think that's a no." Due to increased gravity, Eon is kinda making the tree branch he's on buckle.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:29:15 AM): "...I thought I told you..." Amado's back on his feet, one hand on the spike.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:29:42 AM): "...There's no way..." He grips it. "I'd die..." He looks up at Gaius. "In a place like this!"
Hinoryu8 (3:29:54 AM): Gaius stares, noticing the wind.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:30:07 AM): He tears the spike out. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!" He calls out as the wind gets only more violent.
Hinoryu8 (3:30:34 AM): A seal? "... How unpredictable."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:31:30 AM): Amado leaps back, putting both feet on a tree, and launching himself forward at Gaius, both feet pointed out.
Y Ruler of Time (3:31:43 AM): Fuji lands in a crouch several meters away from Gaius. "...Amado-kun..."
Hinoryu8 (3:31:50 AM): "That seal suits you, human." Gaius steps out of the way of the kick.
Rakath Chaos (3:31:53 AM): Dawn has... no idea what makes this Amado guy able to stand after that, already using a Duel spirit power, however she will be inquiring later.
Hinoryu8 (3:32:38 AM): "As things are now, I should reanalyze the situation." Gaius begins to melt back into Kouji (who is perfectly unharmed, for the record).
Viewtiful Rekk (3:32:53 AM): Amado crashes into another tree, and uses the force to bounce off and land on the ground.
Hinoryu8 (3:32:58 AM): "However, if things are as you say, we will fight again, I am sure."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:33:16 AM): "You won't get away from me!" He calls out and runs at the monarch again.
Hinoryu8 (3:34:25 AM): Kouji turns and looks at Fuji. "The way I impaled him should not permanently affect any vital organs. However, if he continues to fight, the resulting blood loss would likely be fatal."
Rakath Chaos (3:37:52 AM): Dawn leaps up and waves a hand over her belt buckle then lands next to Fuji in a crouch, "I think I need more weapons if I am to remain on this island, it isn't exactly a safe place."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:39:23 AM): "Don't underestimate me!" Amado takes a swing at Kouji.
Hinoryu8 (3:41:28 AM): Kouji ducks the swing, catches it as it passes overhead, and places a hand over the wound left by the spike. "Checkmate."
Hinoryu8 (3:44:09 AM): (( He's not gonna risk attacking while he doesn't know the extent of the Wind Seal's ability that Amado can use. ))
Viewtiful Rekk (3:44:49 AM): "Ngh..." Amado stops.
Hinoryu8 (3:46:26 AM): "Go seek medcal attention."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:49:49 AM): "...tch..." Amado backs up, holding a hand over the wound.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:49:56 AM): "...I'm gonna kick your ass next time..."
Hinoryu8 (3:51:48 AM): "If you have recovered, I will await your challenge in this place."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:53:36 AM): "Fine!" He snaps.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:54:07 AM): He then stumbles, and drops to one knee. "...nngh...don't feel so good..."
Y Ruler of Time (3:54:33 AM): Fuji walks up. "...Come on, Amado-kun. The Monarch is correct, you need healing."
Hinoryu8 (3:54:47 AM): "..." Kouji picks up Amado and slings him over a shoulder. He then looks to Fuji. "Which way is the healer?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:55:04 AM): "H-hey! Lemme go, ya lummox!"
Y Ruler of Time (3:57:32 AM): "Um...well, the infirmary is located in the main academy building." He points in the proper direction.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:58:14 AM): "Fuji, you're not seriously gonna let this guy carry me off to the Hellnurse, are you?!"
Hinoryu8 (3:58:26 AM): "Very well." Kouji starts walking towards the building.
Y Ruler of Time (3:59:07 AM): "...He seems trustworthy."
Rakath Chaos (4:01:29 AM): Dawn looks between Fuji, Amado, Kouji, and Treeman. Then pulls out a slip of paper and a card, then looks at it for a moment.
Hinoryu8 (4:01:34 AM): "There is no honor to be found in letting a strong opponent die."
Rakath Chaos (4:01:37 AM): She bows to Fuji and runs off.
Viewtiful Rekk (4:02:04 AM): "...ngh, whatever..."
Viewtiful Rekk (4:02:15 AM): The Armed Dragon is remaining quite silent through all this.
Y Ruler of Time (4:04:48 AM): Fuji scratches his head, wondering exactly what Gaius and Dawn are thinking.
Hinoryu8 (4:05:34 AM): Oddly, exactly what he said. There are no secret motives to Gaius. He just thinks Amado was a worthy opponent, and does not want to finish him off in this manner.
Hinoryu8 (4:05:59 AM): ... Especially since he is very much aware of the Wind Seal, and doesn't know what it would do if he tried to kill Amado now.
