Viewtiful Rekk (1:42:46 AM): "Eh, he did this stuff with like...gravity and stuff." He says and makes some entirely useless hand gestures.
Hinoryu8 (1:42:53 AM): "Do you need help?" Surprise librarian.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:43:29 AM): "HOGEEZ"
Sinisquirrel (1:43:29 AM): "Gravitational contr--" Librarian. "Ah. Excuse us. Perhaps you could help... him?"
Hinoryu8 (1:43:55 AM): "What do you need?"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:44:15 AM): "Uhh...any advice on how to beat up a Wicked Monarch?"
Sinisquirrel (1:45:19 AM): "Specifically, one who seems to have mastery over gravity..."
Hinoryu8 (1:45:49 AM): Albireo simply smiles. "Why would a student need such a thing?"
Sinisquirrel (1:47:35 AM): "To defeat them upon engaging in battle with them." Of course.
Hinoryu8 (1:48:20 AM): "Is battling a Monarch so likely?"
Sinisquirrel (1:48:43 AM): "..." Lily looks to Amado to make the obligatory 'have you been OUTSIDE LATELY?' comment.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:49:20 AM): "Dude, have you stepped outside this place in the past 48 hours?!"
Hinoryu8 (1:50:07 AM): "I rarely leave the library." He smiles. ... One can't help but get the impression that he knows what's going on anyway, though.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:50:38 AM): "...so uh. Anyway."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:50:52 AM): "Stuff about Wicked Monarchs, Gravity control ,that sorta thing."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:50:56 AM): "Can you help us out?"
Sinisquirrel (1:51:10 AM): I can't help but get the impression he knows what's going on anyway...
Hinoryu8 (1:51:38 AM): "I suppose the easiest way to do it would be to simply create a reason for him to not use that power."

Hinoryu8 (1:52:55 AM): "That is not what I was going to suggest, no."
Sinisquirrel (1:53:04 AM): "Or... We need to win the charm that binds him here."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:55:25 AM): "...Hrm...that sounds good!"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:55:35 AM): "Let's go, Lily! Thanks librarian dude!" ...Aand he's gone.
Hinoryu8 (1:56:02 AM): "... Aiya... So impatient." Albireo shook his head.
Sinisquirrel (1:56:09 AM): "... ah... Thank you..." Lily makes a similar exit, though probably not as fast.
Hinoryu8 (1:56:39 AM): Once the two leave, Albireo simply goes into a back room and settles into a chair to read what is happening.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:56:41 AM): And thus, the party traveled to the clearing in the forest where Amado had fought Gaius before.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:56:53 AM): "YO, WICKED BASTARD! I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS THIS TIME!"
Hinoryu8 (1:57:21 AM): The field of training dummies has been completely destroyed.
Hinoryu8 (1:57:23 AM): "Oh?"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:58:03 AM): "YEAH!"
Sinisquirrel (1:58:10 AM): "..." Please try to not be so... aggravating...
Hinoryu8 (2:00:27 AM): Gaius, in his Kouji disguise, simply looks at Amado levelly. "Have you healed so quickly?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:00:39 AM): "I've healed enough to beat you!"
Hinoryu8 (2:00:47 AM): "Is that so?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:01:28 AM): Amado pulls out his cleaver, which seems to have been repaired with material from a certain spiked dragon. "Yeah, that's so!"
Hinoryu8 (2:01:56 AM): "Even your sword... What is the difference this time?"
Sinisquirrel (2:01:56 AM): Lily wonders if it's really so, thinking over what might be the most useful tool in her small arsenal.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:03:41 AM): "I know what tricks you've got this time!"
Hinoryu8 (2:04:38 AM): "And knowing somehow lets you overcome them?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:04:59 AM): "Well....yeah! ...I think...?"
Hinoryu8 (2:06:12 AM): Kouji responds by sheathing his katana, placing a hand on the handle, and taking a ready stance. "You didn't see all of my ability."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:06:29 AM): "....This is..."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:07:05 AM): Amado immediately changes to a defensive stance, bringing his cleaver up like a shield.
Sinisquirrel (2:07:24 AM): "..." The art of drawing the sword? Lily begins to mumble.
Hinoryu8 (2:07:53 AM): "Are you not going to attack after all?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:08:20 AM): "I may be stupid, but I'm not stupid enough to go charging at a battojutsu practitioner!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:08:25 AM): "...that came out wrong..."
Hinoryu8 (2:10:03 AM): "Then we would be at a standoff, but for one thing."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:11:44 AM): "...And what's that?"
Hinoryu8 (2:13:15 AM): Kouji draws his sword and slashes at high speed with iaido... causing a shockwave to come out from the sword at Amado.
Hinoryu8 (2:13:19 AM): "I can use magic."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:14:37 AM): "NNGH!" The shockwave is barely held back by the cleaver, which starts to crack under the pressure.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:15:21 AM): "Crap! Adam!" The dragon nods silently and disappears. Amado swings the cleaver with renewed strength, dispersing the shockwave.
Sinisquirrel (2:15:52 AM): "!" Too slow...! "Sgiath- Shield!" A small paper smacks Amado on the back, a semi-circle shield forming in front of him. At least it might absorb the next blow.
Hinoryu8 (2:16:44 AM): There's a pause as Kouji sheathes his sword again.
Hinoryu8 (2:16:52 AM): "... You named a dragon 'Adam'?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:17:13 AM): "Eh?! What the heck did you do!?" "Thank you, Lady Lily." Amado starts to head forward, but stops.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:17:20 AM): "...Well, yeah, what was I supposed to name him?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:17:32 AM): "Something obvious and lame like 'Drake'?"
Hinoryu8 (2:17:58 AM): "Does it not have its own name?"
Sinisquirrel (2:18:17 AM): "Do not worry about it..." She has another one ready, and a third slip between her ring and middle finger.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:18:53 AM): "...Not before he took Adam, no."
Hinoryu8 (2:19:48 AM): "..." Kouji seemed a bit confused by this. Not so confused, though, that he can't release another shockwave at Amado while he's considering.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:20:27 AM): "Nngh!" The shield holds after taking the shockwave, but just barely.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:20:38 AM): "Why're you so surprised?!"
Hinoryu8 (2:21:31 AM): "Curiosity, mainly." Another shockwave. "I was not aware there were species that did not name their offspring."
Sinisquirrel (2:22:08 AM): "..." It's strong... then... Lily believes it can hold out for one more, and takes the third slip in her hand, again hitting his back. "Deann- Haste."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:22:56 AM): The shield shatters, and Amado shoots at Kouji, bringing his cleaver downwards.
Hinoryu8 (2:24:09 AM): Kouji then raises his sheathed sword to block the cleaver, placing a hand behind it to help block the force.
Sinisquirrel (2:25:18 AM): This is going to be difficult, Lily thinks as she puts up her own barrier, just in case. If his control over gravity is so that he can do it as he fights... I don't think I have the means to counter.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:25:42 AM): We can't stay in this form forever...we have to force him into his true form and beat him there!
Viewtiful Rekk (2:26:10 AM): A long white spike comes from Amado's back. He grabs it and swings it down at Kouji.
Hinoryu8 (2:26:55 AM): "What are you trying to do?" He unsheathes the sword, letting the sheath block the cleaver, then fending off the spike with his katana.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:32:33 AM): "Ngh...!" Amado continues trying to push against him. "Hrmph!" He pushes his arms outward, trying to create an opening and kicking at Kouji's chest.
Hinoryu8 (2:33:28 AM): "!" Kouji is hit by the kick, but twists it to his advantage... By using the kick for momentum to get out of close combat and sheathe his sword again.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:34:29 AM): "Armed Virus!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:34:47 AM): White spikes shoot out from Amado's body all around the clearing. Lily may want to hide behind a tree.
Hinoryu8 (2:35:24 AM): Kouji simply fires off his gravity spell, bringing any spikes that would go anywhere near him to earth before they can hit him.
Sinisquirrel (2:35:49 AM): She does. She doesn't want her shield to take any damage until it's critical.
Sinisquirrel (2:36:53 AM): Hiding behind there, she sees there's a particular formation in between... and formulates an idea.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:40:22 AM): "Nngh..." Amado falls to the ground, and starts to drop down. How do I circumvent this spell...?
Hinoryu8 (2:40:49 AM): "Do you wish to continue?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:41:22 AM): "Shut the hell up!" He leaps at him again, swinging his cleaver with redoubled strength.
Sinisquirrel (2:41:30 AM): She circles quietly, pausing at times to touch a tree.
Hinoryu8 (2:43:36 AM): Kouji jumps out of the way, having learned from their previous fight.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:46:00 AM): Ngh....I can't hit him this wa...AH!
Viewtiful Rekk (2:46:14 AM): Amado turns around and starts climbing a tree.
Hinoryu8 (2:46:53 AM): "... You aren't seriously planning that."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:47:12 AM): "Ooof! This is hard...but...HA!" He swings on to a branch. "Take this!" He throws the spike in his hand at Kouji, and of course, it falls at him harder and faster.
Hinoryu8 (2:48:49 AM): Kouji sighs and doesn't move. The spike, as Amado threw it, impales him through the side.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:49:04 AM): "...dude, you didn't even try to dodge!"
Sinisquirrel (2:49:07 AM): "..." Ah, that won't work as long as he stays up there... Lily is nearly complete with her circle.
Hinoryu8 (2:49:17 AM): Kouji pulls out the spike and flings it aside.
Hinoryu8 (2:49:56 AM): "It would be pointless to continue this. This is not the form you wish to face, is it?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:50:03 AM): "...No it isn't."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:50:26 AM): "I'm gonna beat you in your true form!"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:50:35 AM): "Without using the Seal of the Wind!"
Hinoryu8 (2:50:47 AM): "Then what?" He stands there, bleeding profusely and not seeming to care.
Hinoryu8 (2:50:51 AM): "What will that accomplish?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:51:11 AM): "...Don't you have to go back to your world or something after I beat you?"
Hinoryu8 (2:51:57 AM): "... To be honest, I wasn't listening when that human explained."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:52:08 AM): "...well uh."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:52:17 AM): "If I beat you, can you surrender your...charm thingy?"
Hinoryu8 (2:52:48 AM): "I bear no attachment to it... I could just give it to you without the fight."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:53:02 AM): "...Seriously?"
Viewtiful Rekk (2:53:11 AM): "But don't you disappear without it?"
Hinoryu8 (2:53:24 AM): "You are operating under the assumption I wish to be here."
Sinisquirrel (2:55:49 AM): "Can it really be that you can simply hand it over, Gaius?"
Hinoryu8 (2:56:34 AM): Kouji removes the belt, shifting back into Gaius, and holds it out towards Amado.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:57:21 AM): "..." Amado blinks, leaps down, and takes the belt, although he seems a bit wary of a trap.
Hinoryu8 (2:58:21 AM): Gaius doesn't let go. "Ah... Once I let go, I disappear. I need to say one thing first."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:58:29 AM): "...okay?"
Sinisquirrel (2:58:37 AM): Lily is also wary, and readies herself.
Hinoryu8 (2:59:36 AM): "In all of this, in all your fights... You have one key weakness that I have seen, that could easily get you killed in the future."
Viewtiful Rekk (2:59:49 AM): "...What's that?" Amado blinks.
Hinoryu8 (3:00:09 AM): "You tend to not think about what you are fighting."
Hinoryu8 (3:00:44 AM): "For example, there is me..." WHAM. Full-power Monarch punch at Amado's torso. "Gaius, the Wicked Monarch."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:00:59 AM): "GAAAAAH!" Amado goes flying.
Hinoryu8 (3:01:53 AM): The belt appears back on Gaius' waist. "And your friend was right. I am not able to simply hand it over."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:02:36 AM): He eventually is stopped...by a tree. "UNGH!" He grunts as he smashes into the tree and falls back down. "Wow...really should've seen that coming..." He wheezes out.
Sinisquirrel (3:03:10 AM): "A-Amado-san...!" I... I should have enacted it before... curse it...! "Fànas... Void." Suddenly, the circle of trees Lily has touched begins to glow... and the area becomes slightly darker.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:03:45 AM): He gets back up quickly enough, leaning on his cleaver slightly. "...eh? What's with the darkness?"
Sinisquirrel (3:03:59 AM): The ground they are standing on sinks by an inch, then two, then more.
Hinoryu8 (3:04:13 AM): Gaius simply looks at Lily.
Sinisquirrel (3:04:32 AM): There is a reason she's not inside of it, of course... it drains.
Sinisquirrel (3:04:48 AM): Soon, the grass itself, the leaves in the tree, will begin to wither and die.
Sinisquirrel (3:05:20 AM): "Amado-san! Strike quickly! As hard as you can!"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:07:30 AM): "RIGHT!"
Hinoryu8 (3:07:58 AM): Gaius simply walks straight through the void, marching straight towards Lily.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:08:04 AM): Amado shoots forward as fast as he can, holding his cleaver through the ground.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:08:29 AM): "HEY! Your opponent is right here!" He shouts, and swings the blade into Gaius's chest.
Sinisquirrel (3:09:01 AM): She knows she can't move-- the thing depends on her being there, hand planted on the last in the circle. She knows... her shield will probably only survive one hit, and even then... recoil.
Hinoryu8 (3:09:27 AM): Gaius takes the sword blow, letting it clash against his armor. "What happens if I cast that girl in here, I wonder?"
Sinisquirrel (3:10:31 AM): That armor should be just ever so slightly weaker than it was, its constitution less than perfect, and growing steadily worse.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:10:50 AM): Amado grits his teeth. "SHUT THE HELL UP!" He retracts the blade and swings it again in the same place.
Hinoryu8 (3:11:14 AM): By that same token, though, so is Amado's cleaver.. or so Gaius believes. "Do you intend to stop me like that?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:12:58 AM): "Shut up!" Amado snaps again, as the cleaver starts to glow, and spikes shoot out, and hopefully through his armor.
Hinoryu8 (3:14:25 AM): Gaius jumps back surprisingly nimbly for something so huge.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:15:54 AM): Amado takes in a breath. Dammit...that armor is so tough...and he keeps frickin' dodging me!
Sinisquirrel (3:15:55 AM): I can only keep this up for so long without it hurting Amado-san... he's going to have to make progress SOON, or I may have to...
Hinoryu8 (3:16:17 AM): "Did you really expect to be able to beat a Monarch without your full power?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:16:28 AM): "I don't need that power to beat you!"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:16:41 AM): Amado runs forward again, continuing to attempt to hammer away at the armor.
Sinisquirrel (3:17:41 AM): "We think you should just let him die." No! "It is important, is it not? He is the Wicked Emperor..." NO! I'm not like you!
Hinoryu8 (3:17:47 AM): Gaius, this time, ignores that and fires a magic blast of raw concussive force at Amado's head.
Hinoryu8 (3:18:06 AM): "Use the seal, before this spell progresses to eating away at us as well."
Sinisquirrel (3:19:08 AM): "Amado-san! We are given gifts for a reason, and that is to use them!" Just as she's doing right now. As desperate as he is to prove himself, she's going to be down in a moment.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:20:24 AM): "AAGH!" Amado skids back across the ground, nearly falling right into the void beneath him. Dammit...but I promised....
Hinoryu8 (3:21:58 AM): "Which is more important? Your pride or your life?"
Sinisquirrel (3:22:10 AM): D-Damn you... that was supposed to be... Lily's hand slides off of the tree, and the void retracts itself. The right time... "We told you so..."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:23:37 AM): "I DON'T NEED IT!" Amado bellows out, and red armor begins to grow on his arms and legs, his extremities turning into metal claws, two bladed wings shooting from his back and a drill-like tail shooting from his back.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:24:04 AM): "I don't need that power to beat you, you Monarch bastard....!" He shouts, an almost guttural growl to his voice.
Hinoryu8 (3:24:43 AM): Gaius responds by holding his hands out, and forming a tightly compressed ball of darkness between them.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:26:01 AM): Amado holds his cleaver steady, and energy starts flowing into it, the blade glowing bright blue.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:27:40 AM): ".....I'll beat you within the next two strikes." Amado growls.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:27:43 AM): "So hurry up and come."
Hinoryu8 (3:28:22 AM): Gaius growls. "Two strikes? You're confident, mortal." With that, he fires the ball of darkness at Amado.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:29:00 AM): Amado pulls the now brightly glowing cleaver back and flings it straight at the ball of darkness.
Hinoryu8 (3:29:46 AM): "Are you familiar with the concept of a 'black hole'?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:30:23 AM): Black hole?!
Hinoryu8 (3:30:35 AM): "All it is is a massive gravity well."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:32:11 AM): "Ngh!" Amado attempts to fly over the black hole and go towards Gaius.
Hinoryu8 (3:34:12 AM): "And one more thing..." Gaius raises a hand. "Lies are the forte of Darkness." The black ball from before dissipates harmlessly, putting Amado and the cleaver on a trajectory towards each other.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:35:45 AM): "What the?!" Amado spins around and just barely grabs the cleaver before it cuts up his face.
Hinoryu8 (3:36:08 AM): Gaius takes advantage of that to punch Amado one more time.
Hinoryu8 (3:36:23 AM): Unfortunately... his gauntlet then breaks from the impact and the damage it took from Lily's spell.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:37:14 AM): "Nngh!" Amado slides back from the hit. "Heh..." He then grips the cleaver by the hilt and lets out a roar, swinging it at his chest once more, as hard as he can.
Hinoryu8 (3:38:51 AM): Gaius takes into account the damage from his gauntlet, and blocks with his other gauntlet. It shatters the second gauntlet, as well, but killing most of the cleaver's momentum.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:39:38 AM): "Heh...that was the first strike...." Amado releases the cleaver, letting it drop. He then pulls back both hands and a pulsating yellow sphere of energy appears in them. "And here's the second!"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:40:07 AM): "ARMED PUNISHER!" He shoots forward, slamming the sphere at any place on Gaius he can hit.
Hinoryu8 (3:40:35 AM): Gaius matches the yellow sphere with a black one. "I'm not impressed!" He reaches back and slams the black one into the yellow one... Power against power.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:41:24 AM): "Heh...so now you're finally facing me straight-up?!"
Hinoryu8 (3:42:28 AM): "Of course." Gaius presses his strength against the Armed Punisher.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:42:40 AM): "Well...I'm not out of tricks yet!"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:43:07 AM): "ARMED VIRUS!" Metal blades shoot from Amado's body....all aimed right at Gaius.
Hinoryu8 (3:44:06 AM): "Is that not a third strike?" With that, he simply braces himself for the impact and focuses all his might into the strength contest.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:45:33 AM): Amado just grins. "So I was off by one! Better than lying, right?" All said as he continues to match Gaius's strength
Hinoryu8 (3:46:45 AM): "You are also under the assumption that this strike will win!" His armor is mostly shattered now, from the continual impacts of the Virus.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:47:59 AM): "Heh...I said I'd finish it within two strikes..." He starts to pull back one of his hands.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:48:17 AM): "I never said my strike would finish it!" The hand shoots out and grabs for the belt on Gaius's arm, attempting to tear it off.
Hinoryu8 (3:50:15 AM): Gaius simply stares. "I cannot move to stop you from removing it, true... But do you think it will come off so easily?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:51:30 AM): "My body's already giving out..." He grins at Gaius. "If this doesn't work, I'm done anyway!" With that, he pulls at the belt as hard as he can as his Armed Punisher starts to give way.
Sinisquirrel (3:53:11 AM): Lily stirs slightly. I feel as if I'm missing something...
Hinoryu8 (3:53:51 AM): Gaius' own power starts to give out as well. However, that isn't from his power decreasing so much as it is that, the more Amado tugs on the belt, the less Gaius seems to actually be there.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:54:14 AM): Has to be!
Viewtiful Rekk (3:54:37 AM): Amado pulls the Armed Punisher away and focuses all of it on the belt, taking the chance that it'll be destroyed before Gaius can hit him.
Hinoryu8 (3:55:54 AM): "You're learning." And with that, Gaius simply ceases to be. Leaving Amado holding a belt.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:56:06 AM): "...."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:56:42 AM): The belt falls from Amado's hands, and he falls backwards, all of the armor fading.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:56:58 AM): As he hits the ground, the spirit of Armed Dragon LV7 appears above him.
Sinisquirrel (3:57:07 AM): "Ugh..." Lily gets up, slowly. "Amado... san...?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:57:41 AM): "...Adam..." "Yes, Lord Amado?"
Viewtiful Rekk (3:57:56 AM): "He was stronger than us, wasn't he?" "...He was, Lord Amado."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:58:26 AM): "...without that belt, we probably would've had to use that Seal to win, right?" "...Yes, Lord Amado."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:59:03 AM): "...we gotta get waaaay stronger then..." The dragon nods. "We will, Lord Amado."
Viewtiful Rekk (3:59:28 AM): "...after a nap..." Aaand, he's out.
Sinisquirrel (3:59:42 AM): The dark-haired Red manages to move over to the two, surveying the deadened area. She sighs.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:59:50 AM): The dragon looks to Lily. "...Are you alright, Lady Lily?"
Sinisquirrel (4:00:55 AM): "... ah. Yes. I... believe so... but..." I have to get better. That was... terrible. She looks at the snoozing Amado. "I think I would like one of those as well."
Viewtiful Rekk (4:01:49 AM): He nods. "Of course." He steps back into Amado's body, and after some brief struggling, gets up.
Sinisquirrel (4:02:25 AM): "... ... ... I see..."
Viewtiful Rekk (4:02:27 AM): He then walks over to Lily, and brings an arm up to support her. "I can escort you to the infirmary, or to your own quarters, if you wish."
Sinisquirrel (4:03:24 AM): "I believe the infirmary is full, so... and... Amado-san can rest at my place as well..."
Viewtiful Rekk (4:04:45 AM): "We both thank you." And with that, he begins walking, guiding her out of the forest.
