Viewtiful Rekk (12:02:49 AM): With that, Jin walks past Riku and stops a bit in front of Amy. "I don't care what bet I lost, I'm not wearing a collar."
Y Ruler of Time (12:03:16 AM): "Oy, I ain't done talkin'. 'Ve got a more important question."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:03:38 AM): "Ugh. What?" He spins back around.
Y Ruler of Time (12:04:41 AM): Riku steps closer to Jin, and lowers his voice so that only the Blue student can hear him. "...How much d'you know 'bout Duel Spirits?"
Rakath Chaos (12:04:55 AM): "Fine..." she stuffs the collar back in her bag, and grabs her jacket from the ground, "For now anyway, but grab my bag."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:05:07 AM): "...."
Rakath Chaos (12:05:14 AM): Amy's perks up a little hearing "Duel Spirit", but says nothing.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:05:27 AM): Not bothering to keep it secret, Jin replies. "I know enough to know that there's a Botanical Lion behind you."
Y Ruler of Time (12:06:15 AM): Riku's eyes widen, and his hand immediately shoots out to grab Jin's jacket. "And I can't frikkin' see the guy!"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:06:20 AM): "From the status of the mane, I'd say a very content one."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:06:30 AM): "..." Jin calmly removes his hand.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:06:44 AM): "People are born without the ability to see Duel Spirits all the time."
Y Ruler of Time (12:09:01 AM): " 'Born'...'Ve been told that already. 'S there any way I can see 'em faster'n I would normally?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:10:38 AM): "I...let me think..." He crosses his arms.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:11:21 AM): "The closest thing I can think of is to get an Avatar Seal..."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:11:53 AM): "If you form an Avatar Seal with a Duel Spirit, the bond between you two will allow it to be seen, despite your being blind to them normally."
Y Ruler of Time (12:13:09 AM): " 'N I suppose y'know this from experience?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:13:57 AM): "No. I can see yours."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:14:10 AM): "I can see all of them."
Y Ruler of Time (12:15:59 AM): Riku blinks. "...'M talkin' 'bout your knowledge, Jin. Why do you know about these 'Avatar Seals'. Why do some people know so much when others don't know anything?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:17:09 AM): Jin shrugs.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:18:14 AM): "Take my advice as you will. Just know that if you desire an Avatar Seal, your Duel Spirit will have to enter your mind."
Y Ruler of Time (12:19:34 AM): "...Sounds like a bunch of weird mumbo jumbo, but...thanks anyway. It's more'n anyone else has told me."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:20:26 AM): "If you wish to know more, ask your dorm head."
Y Ruler of Time (12:20:55 AM): "...Master Soren?" Riku raises an eyebrow, "the drunk?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:21:19 AM): "Yes, him. Anything else?"
Y Ruler of Time (12:22:09 AM): "...Yeah, somethin' I noticed," Riku looks over Jin's shoulder at Amy, before returning his attention to Jin. "She said 'servant'."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:22:58 AM): "...." Jin suddenly looks somewhat annoyed. "Yes...yes she did..."
Y Ruler of Time (12:23:25 AM): "Think about that f'r a second. What's the difference between a servant and a slave?"
Rakath Chaos (12:23:34 AM): "He goes free after a month."
Rakath Chaos (12:23:48 AM): "That's the difference."
Y Ruler of Time (12:23:52 AM): Riku points a finger in her direction. "Wrong."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:23:54 AM): "...."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:23:58 AM): Jin spins around.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:24:15 AM): "2000 yen an hour."
Rakath Chaos (12:25:52 AM): "All Servant means is someone that serves another. Why would I pay you, you agreed to the bet."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:26:22 AM): "Difference between a servant and a slave is that a servant is compensated. A slave is not."
Rakath Chaos (12:28:29 AM): "Nope, the difference is the level of control, I'm not forcing the Collar issue. Slaves are completely submissive in all aspects. Servants just do the bidding of a master."
Y Ruler of Time (12:30:07 AM): "Well, guess I'll let you two work out what the bet actually was...Thanks for the advice, Jin..." With that, Riku makes his exit.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:31:05 AM): Jin gives a wave to Riku, before turning back to Amanda. "You're delusional. Any dictionary or sane person in the world will tell you that a servant is compensated for their work."
Rakath Chaos (12:32:21 AM): "Care to wager another week on that?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:32:47 AM): "I'll wager TWO on it!"
Rakath Chaos (12:35:02 AM): "Sure, you still owe me carrying my bag from the first part of the wager, back at my room we'll get a dictionary and prove you wrong."
Y Ruler of Time (12:35:17 AM): "I sense CONFLICT!" a loud voice bellows, "Conflict that CANNOT be resolved in the tried and true method of a duel!"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:35:47 AM): Jin snatches the bag. "GLADL-what the hell is that?"
Rakath Chaos (12:36:41 AM): Amy Blinkblinks at the voice, "We're about to solve this on our own."
Y Ruler of Time (12:36:58 AM): An Osiris Red-affiliated teacher stands with his hands on his hips. "What is going on here?"
Y Ruler of Time (12:37:12 AM): He strikes a pose. "Your Fuji-sensei shall assist you!"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:37:20 AM): "..."
Rakath Chaos (12:37:50 AM): "We dueled, he's carrying my bag to my dorm. We've got it handled," Amy waved him off, "I only have one bag to carry, it's not a big deal."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:38:00 AM): "No. You know what. Let's ask him."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:38:09 AM): "Fuji-sensei. Is a servant compensated for their services?"
Y Ruler of Time (12:38:44 AM): "..." a large bead of sweat appears on Fuji's forehead, and he drops out of his pose. "The conflict is over that?" He sounds a bit disappointed.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:39:04 AM): "If I'm wrong, I'm her servant for free, for a month and a half."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:39:10 AM): "It's pretty damn important, sir."
Rakath Chaos (12:39:30 AM): Amy yawns and starts rummaging in her bag while its on Jin's back.
Y Ruler of Time (12:39:40 AM): "..." Fuji throws his head back and lets out an enthusiastic laugh, which goes on for about fifteen seconds.
Y Ruler of Time (12:41:46 AM): "Haha, I see! Students betting such extreme favors against each other on duels, right?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:42:00 AM): "..."
Y Ruler of Time (12:42:03 AM): "Oh, I remember the good old days..."
Rakath Chaos (12:42:12 AM): "He wanted me to leave him alone for a month, I made a reversal of that as his loss."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:42:13 AM): "He may not count as a sane person. Let's consult that dictionary."
Y Ruler of Time (12:42:54 AM): Fuji holds out a hand to stop them. "Now hold on there, you said servant, right?"
Rakath Chaos (12:43:00 AM): Amy pulls out the Merriam-Webster dictionary from her bag, thumbs through it, and hands it to Jin.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:43:15 AM): Jin takes it. "Yes, I did."
Y Ruler of Time (12:43:44 AM): "Did you put anything in writing beforehand?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:43:55 AM): He opens the dictionary and thumbs through it. "No, nothing in writing."
Y Ruler of Time (12:45:04 AM): "Well, you don't have to do anything then." Fuji rubs the back of his neck and chuckles, "I wish I'd asked the teachers about that far earlier back when I was a student..."
Y Ruler of Time (12:46:27 AM): "See, the thing is, oral contracts aren't too reliable. Both of you have to agree to the terms exactly, and it's hard to do taht without writing it out."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:46:31 AM): "AHAH!" Jin pokes the page.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:47:07 AM): "Servant. Noun. One that serves others, or one that performs duties about the person or home of a master or personal employer."
Y Ruler of Time (12:47:22 AM): "...Or y'can bicker over the details, sure..."
Rakath Chaos (12:47:53 AM): "Or also means master, which doesn't require payment or an employer."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:48:24 AM): "And what makes you a master, rather than a personal employer?"
Y Ruler of Time (12:48:35 AM): "..." Fuji sighs, and dials a number on his PDA. "Ichirou-sensei?"
Rakath Chaos (12:48:43 AM): "I won your service in a bet."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:49:06 AM): "Mmmmmmmyeeeeees?"
Y Ruler of Time (12:49:41 AM): "We've got a couple of students with an argument about the bet they made on a duel. Can you pull up the Wikipedia article on 'Servant' while I take them to your office?"
Viewtiful Rekk (12:50:01 AM): "...hm...can you access Wikipedia with this thing..."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:50:23 AM): "Alrighty, feel free to bring them down!"
Y Ruler of Time (12:50:24 AM): "I don't know, that's why I'm taking them to a computer."
Rakath Chaos (12:50:39 AM): "Wikipedia isn't a dictionary, which was the agreed standard."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:50:59 AM): "It might as well be!"
Rakath Chaos (12:51:16 AM): "You set the standard, no backing out of it now."
Y Ruler of Time (12:51:17 AM): "Yeah yeah..." Fuji picks up Amy by her collar and Jin by the bag and begins heading for the Osiris Red dorms.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:54:42 AM): "What's in it for me?"
Y Ruler of Time (12:54:59 AM): "Doesn't matter, I'll catch you both."
Rakath Chaos (12:55:22 AM): "Instead of two and a half months, two weeks paid."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:56:16 AM): "..." Jin frowns. "Fine." He calmly removes on of the sweat-soaked bands on his wrists and tosses it in Fuji's eyes.
Rakath Chaos (12:56:55 AM): Amy in turn, puts her arms up to slide out of her jacket.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:57:15 AM): Jin similarly slips out of the backpack.
Y Ruler of Time (12:57:29 AM): Fuji calmly head-butts the sweaty bands away.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:57:46 AM): "We should probably run."
Rakath Chaos (12:57:59 AM): Amy runs, "Teach, if you want just drop those at the Yellow Dorm, thanks."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:58:09 AM): Jin also runs.
Y Ruler of Time (12:59:00 AM): "..." Fuji pauses for a moment. He could catch them both, he really could, but what kind of teacher would he be then? Forced to resort to his physical abilities for everything.
Y Ruler of Time (1:00:21 AM): "...But then again, that's my thing." He picks the bag up, throws it over his shoulders, and runs with bounding strides resembling a gazelle's.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:01:32 AM): Suddenly, a mechanical angelic red-and-white wolf is standing in Fuji's way, growling in a 'back off' sort of way.
Y Ruler of Time (1:02:44 AM): "..." Fuji responds by quirking his eyebrow in an "O rly?" sort of way, and jumps over the thing.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:04:15 AM): The wolf gasps. ...And settles for flying right into Fuji (literally, the two are overlapping each other). It's really really really bright.
Rakath Chaos (1:05:06 AM): Amy looks back, "Ohka, nice." and keeps running, putting her goggles in in a less 'do nothing' sort of manner, as in covering her eyes.
Y Ruler of Time (1:05:20 AM): "TOOBRIGHTTOOBRIGHTTOOBRIGHTTOOBRIGHT!" Fuji yells, landing on his feet and continuing to run.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:06:20 AM): Hey Fuji. Tree.
Y Ruler of Time (1:07:01 AM): Fuji slams into the tree and stumbles backwards. The tree cracks.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:07:23 AM): Jin watches this, somewhat amused.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:08:16 AM): Ohka looks back at the two of them. Its teeth ping rather brightly.
Y Ruler of Time (1:08:53 AM): "..." Fuji blinks several times before looking around. "Don't do that again." He wags a finger at Ohka for emphasis.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:13:53 AM): Jin turns and walks away while Ohka...gets in his face again.
Y Ruler of Time (1:14:23 AM): Fuji calmly reaches out...and grabs Ohka by its jaw.
Hinoryu8 (1:14:58 AM): Meanwhile, to the more observant, there are two very very strange-looking bushes following the group.
Rakath Chaos (1:17:18 AM): Amy follows Jin.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:17:37 AM): Ohka, being quite intangible, is very surprised by this fleshy human grabbing at it and actually succeeding.
Y Ruler of Time (1:18:00 AM): "Bad kitty," Fuji scolds the beast.
Y Ruler of Time (1:21:33 AM): He then proceeds to toss the flying lion over his shoulder, before dashing after Jin and Amy.
Rakath Chaos (1:21:42 AM): "What's up with that Teach anyway?" Amy says, trying to be less loud than normal.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:21:51 AM): The definitely non-kitty Ohka is tossed away.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:22:02 AM): "He's insane, I theorize."
Hinoryu8 (1:22:20 AM): "How is that even possible?!" "Shhh, you'll blow our cover!" The two bushes whispered to each other, then continued to 'stealthily' follow the group.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:24:03 AM): Jin stops, and spins around.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:24:11 AM): "We resolved it. You can stop now, Professor."
Y Ruler of Time (1:25:34 AM): "Wonderful!" Fuji exclaims, attempting to wrap Jin up with one arm. "Meaning we can go immediately to addressing your other problem!"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:25:53 AM): "...wait, what?" Jin says as he's grabbed a second time.
Rakath Chaos (1:26:16 AM): Amy keeps her distance, she knows how she can escape, but doesn't want to do that yet.
Y Ruler of Time (1:27:24 AM): "Many teachers don't take kindly to students throwing things at them. Fewer still enjoy having Duel Spirits sic'd on them. I believe I would be keeping well within my authority to assign an afternoon of detention."
Rakath Chaos (1:28:07 AM): "Um... Teach, you started it... we had things well in hand, and you made them more complicated."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:28:08 AM): "...Yes, well."
Hinoryu8 (1:28:41 AM): "Should we run away?" "Why should we?" "That's a teacher, we'll get detention too, for spying!" "Not if they don't find us!"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:28:55 AM): "Since you necessitated me throwing things at you, and you necessitated my Duel Spirit acting of his own accord..."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:28:56 AM): Jin slips out of his grasp. "I believe I'm well within my authority to tell you to go to hell, Professor."
Y Ruler of Time (1:30:27 AM): Fuji puts Jin in a headlock as soon as he slips out of his initial grip. "Slippery bugger, aren't you? Come along, or it'll be..." he pauses for dramatic effect. "Two afternoons of detention!"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:30:53 AM): "...."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:32:07 AM): Images rapidly flash through Jin's mind. "OH MY GOD, YOU KILLED HIM!" "Mr. Honjou, you're being tried as an adult." "We the jury find the defendant guilty."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:32:19 AM): Not worth it....
Viewtiful Rekk (1:33:22 AM): "Fine." He growls. At least this gets me out of carrying the stupid bag...
Y Ruler of Time (1:33:56 AM): Fuji blinks. "Hm...did you two feel that?" he asks of the two students, gazing up into the sky.
Hinoryu8 (1:34:27 AM): "That's it? That's boring..." Anma muttered. Hikari, meanwhile, obediently looked up as well as she could while hiding in a fake bush.
Y Ruler of Time (1:34:45 AM): "Felt like a flashback just flew by..."
Hinoryu8 (1:35:46 AM): "A flashback?" "Shh, we'll be found!"
Y Ruler of Time (1:36:26 AM): "Well, come along, Jin. As for you, Miss...girl whose name I don't know, if you keep this up, you'll be given the same punishment, understand?"
Rakath Chaos (1:37:04 AM): "I understand, and I promise to be good."
Y Ruler of Time (1:37:57 AM): "That's the spirit!" Fuji grins, releasing Jin before slapping his hand on his back. "Let's get going, Jin!"
Y Ruler of Time (1:38:02 AM): "Oh, and Miss..."
Rakath Chaos (1:38:24 AM): "Yes?"
Y Ruler of Time (1:38:32 AM): He drops Amy's bag on the ground. "If you need help with your bag, you might ask those two young ladies in the fake-looking bushes over there."
Rakath Chaos (1:39:37 AM): "I think I'll be fine Teach." Amy grabs her bag (and her jacket if its here).
Hinoryu8 (1:39:41 AM): "DAMMIT!"
Rakath Chaos (1:44:10 AM): However, instead of leaving, she walks over to the bush that said "Damnit".
Viewtiful Rekk (1:44:28 AM): "...Can't you let me off with a warning or something? I really don't want to waste my day off in detention." He mutters.
Hinoryu8 (1:44:36 AM): "......." The bush froze in place and acted... well, very bush-like.
Rakath Chaos (1:45:16 AM): Amy gets down close, and whispers "Bushes don't say Damnit, generally they don't talk at all."
Hinoryu8 (1:45:52 AM): "Smartass." Anma muttered.
Y Ruler of Time (1:46:31 AM): "No, there shall be no worming your way out of a big punishment!" Fuji holds his finger up and nods sternly.
Y Ruler of Time (1:46:39 AM): "You shall serve the full hour of detention!"
Viewtiful Rekk (1:46:56 AM): "...Full ho-" Jin pauses.
Viewtiful Rekk (1:47:11 AM): "...Alright. If I must, I must." He says and heaves a sigh.
Y Ruler of Time (1:47:29 AM): "That's more like it!" Fuji leads Jin off to his office in the Red dorms.
Hinoryu8 (1:48:14 AM): "An hour?! The hell kind of anticlimax is that?!" Anma asked. "We've been found out, can we come out of the bushes now, Anma?" "... Might as well."
Viewtiful Rekk (1:48:33 AM): Jin shoots a 'I blame you for this' glare at Amy and follows.
Rakath Chaos (2:01:20 AM): Amy just grins, acting innocent.
Hinoryu8 (2:01:59 AM): The two girls stand up out of the bushes and brush leaves off themselves. Anma promptly shoots an obligatory dirty look at Amy.
