Viewtiful Rekk (2:53:40 AM): Neos nods and vanishes.
Hinoryu8 (2:54:56 AM): Miru was, at this point, walking between the dorm and the main building, with her backpack on. She needed to run by the library to ask Albireo about a certain book, but... well, it was not to be.
Viewtiful Rekk (2:57:09 AM): Neos stands next to Miru, glancing intently at her deck. "....Tch." He spins on his heel and is about to leave.

Viewtiful Rekk (3:02:13 AM): "..." He glances down at her deck for a moment, and walks off. "Follow the sound of my voice."

Viewtiful Rekk (3:04:47 AM): "Very good." With that, Neos walks into the forest, making sure to guide Miru with his voice.
Hinoryu8 (3:05:12 AM): Miru follows the voice until they get to their destination... a bit wary.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:05:43 AM): When they reach Desdemona, she stands up. Neos says something to her, and she smiles and nods.

Viewtiful Rekk (3:15:26 AM): "Very good!" Desdemona activates her own disk.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:17:49 AM): Desdemona draws five. "You may go first, Miss...?"
Hinoryu8 (3:18:44 AM): "Kouna Miru." She draws six.
Viewtiful Rekk (3:20:36 AM): "Ah, well, you may go first Miru."
Hinoryu8 (3:20:48 AM): "I will set one reverse card, and one monster. Turn end."

Viewtiful Rekk (3:23:37 AM): "Advanced Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird." A red humanoid hummingbird appears. (800/600)
Viewtiful Rekk (3:24:14 AM): "Air Hummingbird's effect." She says, smiling. The hummingbird flies over to Miru as flowers rise from the four cards in Miru's hand.

Hinoryu8 (3:29:32 AM): "Next, I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman from my hand." The blue hero appears, lightning crackling from his hands. (1600 ATK)

Viewtiful Rekk (3:30:45 AM): "I will activate Spirit Barrier." A glowing barrier appears and blocks the battle damage as the Hummingbird is destroyed.
Hinoryu8 (3:31:48 AM): "Spirit Barrier doesn't block Flame Wingman's effect, though, as I recall." Flaming bits of the hummingbird fly back at Desdemona.

Hinoryu8 (3:33:48 AM): "Sparkman, attack directly." Sparkman fires a ball of lightning.

Viewtiful Rekk (3:42:23 AM): The two monsters shoot back into her deck. "I will now summon Evil Hero Air Neos." With a flash, a red-armored winged hero appears, arms crossed. (2500/2000)

Viewtiful Rekk (3:43:10 AM): "In a sense. Air Neos's effect. It gains 1 counter for every difference of 500 in our points."

Hinoryu8 (4:07:23 AM): "And this as well..." She takes one more card out of her hand, one that she's held since the very first turn. "I activate Miracle Fusion."
Viewtiful Rekk (4:07:52 AM): "...Oh my."
Hinoryu8 (4:08:05 AM): Flame Wingman and Sparkman slide out of her graveyard, then the monsters leap into a vortex. The resulting monster appears, glowing brightly.
Hinoryu8 (4:09:25 AM): Miru then holds up her last card, the one Desdemona thought was Edgeman.
Hinoryu8 (4:09:40 AM): She slides it into her Disk and smiles... as her Disk displays the new hologram of R - Right Justice.
Hinoryu8 (4:11:20 AM): "Necro Darkman... I only chose him so I could get more monsters into the graveyard, faster."
Hinoryu8 (4:12:11 AM): "Shining Flare Wingman attacks your monster." Miru states calmly.
Viewtiful Rekk (4:13:51 AM): Air Neos is wiped out. (7000)
Hinoryu8 (4:14:17 AM): "Shining Flare Wingman's effect, activate... It deals the original attack of the destroyed monster in damage to you."
Viewtiful Rekk (4:15:04 AM): "Ngh...!" Desdemona holds up an arm to block the blazing light. Were she a more dramatic person, she'd make a crack about how she can't stand the light. (3500)

At this moment, it became quite clear to us that there was a pretty bad fuck-up earlier, with the life points, and Air Neos's ATK. By this point, it wasn't easily changeable, because the entire duel would've been changed. So, we just decided to roll with it and continue, since this was a plot duel anyway.

Hinoryu8 (5:49:39 AM): Then, she drew three. "I activate E - Emergency Call, to move Sparkman from my deck to my hand."
Hinoryu8 (5:50:36 AM): "Now, Fusion! I fuse Sparkman and King of the Swamp... Summon Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman!" The hero appears again, looking much more annoyed this time around.

Viewtiful Rekk (6:21:51 AM): "I will then conduct Triple Contact Fusion between Neos Alius, Grand Mole and Flare Scarab."
Hinoryu8 (6:22:17 AM): "..." Miru seems to realize she's screwed.
Viewtiful Rekk (6:22:30 AM): The three monsters leap upwards, emitting a massive flash.
Viewtiful Rekk (6:23:44 AM): "Summon Evil Hero Magma Neos." A warrior with two insect-like wings and molten rocky armor covering its body floats back down, steam rising from its body. (3000/2500)

Viewtiful Rekk (6:26:19 AM): The warrior creates a massive blazing meteor in its hand, and flings it straight at Miru.
Hinoryu8 (6:26:53 AM): Miru is nailed, and blown back several feet, to land on her back.
Viewtiful Rekk (6:27:39 AM): Desdemona deactivates the disk and walks over to Miru, before helping her to her feet.
Hinoryu8 (6:27:59 AM): Miru stands, with Desdemona's help, and shakes her head a bit to clear it. Ow.
