Viewtiful Rekk (11:03:32 PM): Roughly 50 minutes have passed since Casey's victory over Alexander. And the Gemstone Princess, Anna is sitting at a table in the Obelisk Cafeteria, her cards on the table in front of her and a cup of tea in her hand.
Polk Kitsune (11:03:55 PM): Casey looked over his card once more. He had a small break between the duels to recover. Overlooking his cards, he gave a definitive nod. "Good..."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:05:15 PM): ....Two whole years for this day.... she thinks to herself.
Polk Kitsune (11:06:00 PM): "If I make it now, if I make it to the top..." He shook his head. "I've come far, but I can't relax. If he can see me now..."
Y Ruler of Time (11:06:21 PM): Alex spots Anna sitting with her cards, and walks up, "Nervous?"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:06:53 PM): Anna bolts backwards slightly in her chair, her tea comes perilously close to splashing all over her.
Viewtiful Rekk (11:07:09 PM): "....." She turns to look at Alexander. "Why would you think that?"
Y Ruler of Time (11:07:52 PM): He smiles, "I told you, we're a lot alike..."
Sinisquirrel (11:08:00 PM): "W-what he, Casey-san?"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:08:46 PM): "I don't see you wearing a skirt." She observes, sipping her beverage.
Polk Kitsune (11:08:46 PM): "Huh?" He blinked, looking back at Ren. "Oh, Sorry." He gave an embarrassed chuckle. "Talking to myself, that should look bad."
Sinisquirrel (11:09:21 PM): "Eheh... I... I look like I do it all the time... but... that doesn't answer it... who's 'he'?"
Y Ruler of Time (11:09:49 PM): He ignores the remark, "What, you don't think I wasn't just like you a little over an hour ago? Going over my cards, thinking of every move Casey could make..."
Y Ruler of Time (11:10:20 PM): "I would've had tea too except...I kinda crushed my thermos a couple hours ago," his hand rests on the back of his head, embarrassed
Polk Kitsune (11:11:32 PM): He blinked a moment. "I..." He tried to hold it in a moment, but let out a sigh. "He's... Someone I'd rather wish I'd never met. Someone I can't keep hiding from..."
Polk Kitsune (11:11:36 PM): "My father..."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:12:25 PM): She glances at her cards for a moment, then lets out a single laugh. "I can only hope I picked up on more than you, if that's the case."
Polk Kitsune (11:13:22 PM): "He's why I'm trying so hard now. Why I can't slow down..."
Sinisquirrel (11:14:00 PM): "Your father?" She seemed surprised. She had never really thought of Casey's family, aside from the obvious brother... deceased, anyway. "I-I'm sure he'd be proud anyway, coming... so far?"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:14:39 PM): "...Let me ask you a question, Alex."
Y Ruler of Time (11:14:48 PM): "What's that?"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:15:00 PM): "How long have you wanted to be Kaiser?"
Polk Kitsune (11:15:23 PM): He gave a chuckle, almost choking on it. "Heh, yeah. I'm sure he is. Either that, or he'd wonder if I turned stupid. Whichever comes to him mind first."
Y Ruler of Time (11:16:02 PM): "Hm...difficult question to answer, really...the Kaiser is the best at the academy...and I guess I've sort of always wanted to be the best."
Sinisquirrel (11:16:23 PM): She frowned slightly. "But... you've worked so hard... we've... we've both seen it... you're..." she squeaked. "You're a good person..."
Y Ruler of Time (11:17:17 PM): "I guess I never really started seriously working towards Kaiser in specific until the beginning of the year, though."

Polk Kitsune (11:18:06 PM): He blinked, and smiled softly. "Thank you... and that means a lot to me..." But then he gave a sigh. "But that doesn't matter to him. I know it."

Y Ruler of Time (11:23:12 PM): Alex chuckles softly. "I guess that's the thing about being the best...so many people want it but, but only one of them can achieve it..."
Sinisquirrel (11:23:27 PM): "I-I don't... think that's very fair..." Ren took a deep breath, and, unsteady and shaking, put her hands on top of his. "B-but i-if it's w-what you w-want, t-to do it... I'm..." She took a breath.

Viewtiful Rekk (11:24:53 PM): "I've been working at it for as long as I care to recall at this point....and now, I'm only one last duel away."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:25:27 PM): She shuffles her cards together. "No matter what will Casey Rain has....I won't lose here. I can't lose when I'm so close."
Polk Kitsune (11:26:13 PM): "... Ren..." He gave a soft nod. "Thank you... I'm sorry if I'm dragging you through this..."
Y Ruler of Time (11:26:43 PM): "..." Alex stares at the determined-looking girl for a few seconds in silence, before chuckling, "Maybe I was wrong...maybe I don't understand you as well as I thought I did.
Sinisquirrel (11:26:58 PM): "N-not at all...! I... I thought you were cool since f-first year, so..." Gulp. "I-I'm never going to be Kaiserin material... this is good enough."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:28:45 PM): "....." She shakes her head. "You wouldn't be the first." She says, a small shadow of a smile on her face. She then places her deck into its case at her side.
Y Ruler of Time (11:29:29 PM): "Well, all I know is before I talked to you, I knew who I was going to root for in this duel," he smiles back, "maybe you should open up a bit more often."
Polk Kitsune (11:29:50 PM): "... you're more than good enough... More than I deserve. Kaiser is only a title, but there are more important things..."
Polk Kitsune (11:30:07 PM): "I just have to tell myself... I can do it."
Viewtiful Rekk (11:30:36 PM): A snort. "Please. I'm not even sure if I should've told you anything. The last thing I need is a bunch of friends weighing me down."
Sinisquirrel (11:30:38 PM): "M-mn... if they're... your dreams, they're important. Expectations... are dreams, too. S-someone else's... but they're still dreams."

Sinisquirrel (11:35:24 PM): "M-mmn!" She nodded heartily, and wanted to wish him luck in words... but the sounds sort of just died out in her throat. Instead, she gave him a thumbs up.
Y Ruler of Time (11:35:41 PM): Alex stares after her, a little surprised...But then a slight grin of amusement crosses his face
Y Ruler of Time (11:36:29 PM): "Well, she's rude, she's withdrawn, she's spiteful...but she can be funny every now and then, so I guess she's not all bad..."
Polk Kitsune (11:36:48 PM): He smiled, and leaned down, giving her a quick kiss, before letting her go, walkign off toward the arena.
Viewtiful Rekk (11:37:29 PM): Moments later, back in Obelisk Arena...
Viewtiful Rekk (11:38:31 PM): Ichirou glances out at the packed bleachers. "Well...almost time." He says, a slight smirk of anticipation on his face.

Viewtiful Rekk (11:39:56 PM): He walks out to the arena. "Alright, beginning the final match of the Kaiser tournament! Whoever wins this match will be declared the top student in the entire school!"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:41:36 PM): He points at the hallway. "First, the Duke of Flames, Casey Rain!" He announces, complete with....different title?
Sinisquirrel (11:42:00 PM): "D-duke...?"
Polk Kitsune (11:43:27 PM): He blinked a moment, but smirked as he stepped forward, raising both fists triumphantly in the air for the crowd. "YEAH!"
Viewtiful Rekk (11:43:45 PM): Fangirls, screaming, banners, etc.

Viewtiful Rekk (11:44:33 PM): "And his opponent....the Gemstone Princess, Anna Curtis!" He declares, pointing again.
Viewtiful Rekk (11:45:06 PM): Anna walks out, not making a sound save her heels tapping the floor as she makes her way to the arena.

Viewtiful Rekk (11:51:03 PM): "Well then....let the match to decide the Kaiser of the school BEGIN!" He declares, before getting to the edge of the arena and heading to his seat.

Viewtiful Rekk (12:47:07 AM): A loud call trumpets through the field as Amber Mammoth charges in front of the blow from its defensive stance, being broken to nothing in an instant.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:47:20 AM): A stone of amber than appears in her Magic/Trap zone.
Polk Kitsune (12:47:58 AM): "... Knew it." He shook his head. "Oh well..." He looked to his hand, smirking. "End turn."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:47:59 AM): "When a face-up Gem Beast is attacked, I may change the target to Amber Mammoth. And as it was in defense...." She smirks.

Polk Kitsune (12:51:27 AM): He blinked a moment. He heard about that dragon. "... No..."
Viewtiful Rekk (12:52:16 AM): "Magna-Slash's effect...." The stone of emerald in Anna's backfield disappears. It flows into the dragon's blades as it leaps forward and slashes the DNA Transplant card in two.
Polk Kitsune (12:54:45 AM): And with that, every monsters returned to their usual elements... the the baseball kid's muscles deflated.
Viewtiful Rekk (12:55:33 AM): "Topaz Bite." She simply declares as the tiger leaps forward, its attack leaping up by 400. (2000)
